Safety Trainer and Ropes Course Trainer
Training at the High Ropes Course
Our newest training offer is facilitated by SKYROPE High Rope Course in Bad Harzburg that opened in 2004 and operates all year round. This module is designed as a partitioned training. A training of 11 weeks qualified by an examination to become a Safety Trainer, and a further 5 weeks of training with an examination to become a Ropes Course Trainer.
The internship starts with a 1 week basic course. Contents are firstly the learning and training of all elements of the ropes course, including set up, conducting and emergency management. Secondly the experiential education potential of the high ropes course for groups is discussed and methodical procedures are practiced.
Key activities during the training are the autonomous preparation, implementation and wrap-up of events. The high ropes course attracts a vast array of target groups starting from school classes, apprentices and trainees all the way to clubs, families or tourists.
With a regular administrative office assistance at the management of SKYROPE, the trainee will get hands-on insights into the management and development of the high ropes course. The training is supported by constant instruction and guidance.
After a comprehensive practice process, a rope technique and safety procedure test can be completed. Upon passing of this test and the 11 week training, the qualification as Safety Trainer is obtained and a certificate issued.
As a basis for the further training schedule, a 3 day in-house training focusing on program design, customer focus and educational support will follow. The entire training finishes after 5 more weeks with a test course similar to a test teaching that leads to the certificate of Ropes Course Trainer upon passing.
Attending the training module is subject to the successful completion of a 2 day trial period in the high ropes course and with the management of SKYROPE, as well as previous experience in the field of experiential education.
The participants commit to working for the duration of their training, for which they receive a training remuneration. The attendance of all training events is free of charge.
