Courses with companies and trainees
Since 1998 the trainee program is one of our advanced training modules geared for Erlebnistage employees, interns and other interested persons seeking to obtain a qualification as outdoor trainer in the field of adult education.
This program prepares trainees specifically for the work in apprentices, trainee and manager trainings, events and incentives. Furthermore, the trainee program serves as a pool for future long-term staff members at GFE, including managing Erlebnistage sites for the training of our employees.
The 2 year training is designed as a complement to study or job and consists of a seminar section and a practical section. The seminars of the training are mostly conducted in the central part of Germany by renowned instructors. The content focuses on competence analysis, design and intervention in outdoor training, conflict management, personal development and goal & time management.
The practical training takes place in the actual course situation depending on the type and place of event. By offering various course types and target groups, a comprehensive spectrum of learning fields is created. Due to the cooperation with "Skyrope" and "Younit" the application options for the trainee are enhanced. The training ends with a test course that after passing will include the hand-over of a recognised and qualifying certificate as Outdoor Trainer.
All trainees are coached within an individual tutorship that ensures a constant verification of set and currently achieved goals. Furthermore, all events designed autonomously by the trainers will be closely monitored in the form of support and observations. During an evaluative debrief among the course team, the organisation and implementation as well as the methodical design of the course are analysed critically.
The trainees commit to conducting 35 course days within those two years, for which they will receive a compensation for their expenses. The attendance of all training events is free of charge.
Condition for attending the trainee program is the completion of an internship of at least 13 weeks at one of the Erlebnistage sites, and the passing of a 3 day assessment-like entry seminar “Competence Analysis”.
